OVERVIEW:

The Class II A2, A3, and B2 bio-safety cabinets feature perfectly balanced supply and exhaust HEPA filters, with surface areas proportioned to match their required air volumes. This balance equalizes filter loading, ensuring that the protection factor remains uncompromised by excessive loading on either the exhaust or supply filter.

Sterisan omits additional balancing dampers, minimizing the risk of malfunction and maintaining consistent airflow performance. Moreover, all positive pressure areas are surrounded by negative pressure zones, which return any unfiltered pathogens to the HEPA filters, enhancing both safety and containment.

The cabinet fan delivers 530 Pa of pressure, while the initial resistance of the HEPA filter and system measures only 60 Pa, allowing the filters to last three times longer than the initial resistance. This design maintains safety performance even when service intervals are extended or when the cabinet operates in less-than-perfectly sterile laboratory conditions.

Sterisan minimizes electronic components, reducing the likelihood of malfunction caused by irregular power supply. The pressure-based alarm system provides reliable, trouble-free operation. Additionally, operators receive accurate, easily viewable filter condition readings via the built-in minihelic gauge—an extra feature not typically offered by competitor cabinets.

CABINET DETAILS:

Outer Section

Sterisan manufactures the cabinets from mild steel and finishes them with a durable white epoxy powder coating. The 75 mm wide sides house all services and feature removable panels for easy access. Fluorescent illumination is provided from the top, positioned behind frosted toughened safety glass for safe, clear visibility. The cabinets include 15 AMP plug sockets on either side of the service panel, a minihelic pressure gauge, and a variable speed control to allow precise airflow management. The stand comes epoxy powder-coated to match the cabinet design, and adjustable feet are available as an option for stable, level installation.

Inner Section

The work surface, back, and sides use 304 stainless steel with a scratch-resistant finish for durability and easy cleaning. Sterisan incorporates a stainless steel spill tray and back panel to enhance safety and hygiene. The exhaust outlet includes an optional anti-blowback feature and can be ducted externally for additional contamination control. Optional features, such as a spindle-type gas tap and a germicidal UV light, are offered to further improve sterilization and safety within the workspace.

Accessories (Optional):

  • Support Stand
  • UV Germicidal light
  • Arm Rest
  • Anti-Blowback damper and thimble for units ducted to outside (Oncology)
